Welcome to the Adventist Writers and Editors website. Adventist Writers and Editors was informally established in 2001 by two emerging writers to encourage and support each other.  Since then, the organisation has grown and has held writing seminars and programmes on a yearly basis.

Purpose

Adventist Writers and Editors is an association established to support the work of Seventh-day Adventist writers and those sympathetic to its ethos.

Objectives

Adventist Writers and Editors are committed to:

  • Developing the literary potential of emerging writers through a series of seminars and conferences.
  • Mentoring emerging writers, coaching mid-career writers and supporting established writers to find new markets for their work.
  • Maintaining strong editoral links with the Communication department of the British Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and also with the Stanborough Press Ltd.
  • Providing alternative publishing initiatives involving new media.
  • Promoting the work of writing as Christian service.

The Adventist Writers and Editors Association is a supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church sponsored by the Communication Department of the British Union Confernece of Seventh-day Adventists and the Stanborough Press Ltd.
